Through this facility, the MacKay Bana Grass will be processed to be the Bana Charcoal. According to Control Union, Bana Grass was tested and proven to be a very high yielding crop with a yield of 340-500 tons per hectare per year. This bio-charcoal facility is expected to be fully operational by February 2018.
Meanwhile, the facility in Negros is expanding rapidly as there were 10 newly acquired trucks and 200 hectares of leased land. In Cagayan De Oro, an ongoing expansion of Bana Grass plantation is happening. A new warehouse for charcoal and silage production will be welcomed by December of 2017. In Tawi-Tawi, 100 hectares of land will be utilized for the production of charcoal and silage. A new bio-charcoal facility will be built in Butuan this November 2017.
